Wedding Prep

My village leader's daughter got married last week. Here's a little collage of some of the work that goes into preparing for a wedding. I sat in the ladies' spice circle and helped with grindng tamarind which turned my hand yellow for the day, but my fingernails didn't recover for a week. It is unbelievable all the work involved in preparing the spices for the meals! I also did the weeding and helped with decorations. Bottom right corner is the buffalo tied up for the feast.
